Republican Senate Health Care Bill Vote Looms

Shrouded in secrecy, that’s the complaint from Democrats about Senate Republican efforts to draft a repeal of ObamaCare.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

A vote on a Republican Senate health care bill could come as soon as next week. Democrats are demanding to know details of a bill that could be considered so quickly:

(Schumer) “We Democrats will continue to do everything we can to shine a light on what our Republican friends are doing.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says that includes some tactics to delay other Senate business.

Texas Republican John Cornyn says they’re not hiding anything:

(Cornyn) “In the fullness of time, we’ll all see the product that we’ve been working on as a result of their refusal to work with us.”

Using what’s called budget reconciliation, Republicans can pass a health care bill with a simple majority.
