An offer of political asylum for fired FBI Director James Comey.

FOX's Jon Decker has more from the White House:

In his annual, televised question-and-answering session with the Russian people, Russian President Vladimir Putin said his country is ready to offer James Comey asylum if the former FBI director should face political persecution.

Putin likened Comey's actions,  in leaking to the media notes of his conversations with President Trump to Edward Snowden, the former NSA contractor who leaked thousands of documents in 2013.

Putin also once again disputed claims of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
