Press Secretary Spicer Pressed About White House Taping System

Is there a White House recording system? Administration staffers still haven’t answered the question.

FOX’s John Decker has more at the White House:

The question of the possible existence of a White House recording system has lingered for more than a month since President Trump first raised the possibility in a tweet about former FBI Director James Comey.

Now the Secret Service has told the Wall Street Journal that the agency has no audio copies or transcripts of any tapes recorded at the White House.

And White House spokesman Sean Spicer was non-committal about the existence of a taping system:

(Spicer) “The President made clear in the Rose Garden last week that he would have an announcement shortly.”

There is still the possibility that recordings could have been created without the Secret Service’s knowledge.
