NSA Leaker Arrested
An NSA contractor who has posted anti-Trump messages online is accused of being a leaker.
FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
Reality Winner faces charges under the Espionage Act that could send her to prison for a decade. The contractor is accused of sending classified information to a media outlet.
The “Intercept” posted a story that the Russians tried to hack elections-related software. Republican Senator Rand Paul believes low-level analysts could be responsible for other leaks:
(Paul) “They have such power to suck up every bit of every transmission, every communication we ever made. We can’t just have them ‘Willy-nilly’ releasing that to the public.”
President Trump has vowed to go after leakers. This is the first arrest under his administration.
