Putin Dismisses Russian Election Interference, Calls it “Useless & Harmful Gossip”

Russian President Vladimir Putin is pushing back on accusations that his government interfered in the United States’ 2016 presidential election.

FOX’s Simon Owen in London has the story:

Vladimir Putin calling allegations of Russian interference useless and harmful gossip, saying the claims are not backed up by any concrete evidence. Speaking at an economic forum… Putin accusing the Democrats of trying to shift blame for Hillary Clinton’s defeat.

He also dismissed the U.S. focus on the Russian ambassador’s contacts with members of President Trump’s team, saying the diplomat was simply doing his job.

He calls claims of a secret deal before President Trump’s inauguration, hysteria.
