Missile Defense Agency Releases Price Tag of ICBM Interceptor
Now we know the price tag of that successful missile test conducted by U.S. defense.
FOX’s Gurnal Scott with the story:
According to the Missile Defense Agency, the price of Tuesday’s successful ICBM interception: $244 million. They’ve also deemed the program ready today “to defend the homeland.”
The test was in response to the continued North Korean ballistics trials. The U.S. plans to double down on its testing this fall, launching two missiles to take out a rogue mock ICBM.
The successful intercept opens the door to a ramped-up program with 44 interceptors anticipated to be ready to go by the end of this year.
