Geologist Suing National Landmark

A geologist is suing a national landmark over what he calls religious discrimination.

FOX’s Tonya J. Powers has the story:

Andrew Snelling, a geologist turned creationist, claims he was discriminated against by Grand Canyon National Park, and has filed a lawsuit.

Back in 2013, Dr. Snelling asked for permission to remove 60 half-pound rocks from the Colorado River within the canyon, and last July, the request was denied.

He filed suit earlier this month, saying the National Park Service violated his constitutional rights because of his “creationist beliefs.”

The suit also says the Park Service did not abide by President Trump’s recent religious freedom executive order. As for a response from the Grand Canyon, a park representative said the National Park Service does not comment on pending litigation.
