An NFL Hall of Famer has died.

FOX's Chris Hoenig reports:

Cortez Kennedy recorded 58 sacks during his 11-year career, spent entirely with the Seattle Seahawks and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1992.

Police in Orlando say he was found dead Tuesday morning and while an investigation is ongoing, there is nothing suspicious about his death.

Kennedy stood 6'1 and tipped the scales at 300 pounds. He was the third overall pick in the 1990 NFL draft after a collegiate career at the University of Miami and would go on to make eight Pro Bowls. He was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2012:

(Kennedy) "It's not about winning or losing. It's so much bigger than that. It's about the relationship and about sharing and working hard together. It's about not taking the shortcut."

Cortez Kennedy was 48-years-old.
