President Trump Set to Announce Budget Request for 2018
President Trump begins his first foreign trip in office as his administration tries to turn attention back to his top priorities.
FOX’s Jon Decker at the White House:
Before departing on his first foreign trip, President Trump met with his budget chief Mick Mulvaney, who announced that the President’s budget request for fiscal year 2018 will be released next Tuesday.
The president’s budget spells out the administration’s wish list for spending and taxing.
In March, a preliminary budget called for steep spending reductions at most agencies to pay for a large increase in Pentagon funding.
Meanwhile, a new Congressional Budget Office score on the Republican health care bill is also expected to come out Wednesday. CBO expects the new report to be “worse” than the last one.
