Could we soon be seeing the original lineup from Van Halen with Sammy Hagar? One of them would like to make it happen.
FOX's Laura Ingle has her 'Bonus Track':
Rock and Roll feuds have been going on a long time, from Simon and Garfunkel to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and as Van Halen fans know, the group has had some strained relations through the years when it came to singers David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar. But now fans may get a shot at having the "best of both worlds" with everyone involved.
Hagar is putting it out there that he wants to get past his issues with his former band and rejoin the group under one condition, if David Lee Roth gets to come along too.
Hagar explaining that he would want to split vocals with Diamond Dave. Hagar would sing his tunes, David Lee Roth sings his, giving fans the ultimate show.
The concept has the blessing of original bassist Michael Anthony and Hagar has extended olive branches to Eddie and Alex Van Halen. And if the idea doesn't work out, he says he'd like to at least resume their friendship.
