Chelsea Manning is Free
The Army Private, court-martialed for an epic leak of classified material, is now out of prison.
FOX’s Eben Brown reports:
Chelsea Manning, who’s been confined at the U.S. military’s disciplinary barracks at Fort Leavenworth since her arrest in 2010, is free again.
Manning, who was once known as a male named Bradley, was convicted at court-martial for providing classified material about operations in Iraq and other things to WikiLeaks. Manning was originally sentenced to 35 years, but in one of his final acts in office, President Obama shortened her sentence.
Manning is still appealing her conviction.
