Mark Cuban: Raiders’ Move to Las Vegas Could “Backfire”

One NBA owner says the Raiders’ move to Las Vegas could “backfire.”

FOX’s Pete Mundo reports:

The Raiders move to Las Vegas in 2020 has been widely praised, but one big sports name isn’t so sure it’s a great move

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told ESPN, ”There’s just no good reason. It’s no disrespect to Las Vegas, it’s a great city and it’s vibrant. But they’re going to a smaller market, it’s transient, and it’s just another example of chasing every last dollar, and that tends to backfire.”

Cuban was also critical of the NBA in 2008 when the Sonics moved from Seattle to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder. Cuban was one of two owners to vote against the move.
