A new study shows school bullying is still a problem, and reports of sex crimes are up.
FOX's Tonya J. Powers has more:
A study by the National Center for Education Statistics and the Justice Department says overall instances of school bullying have been declining over the past decade. Even so, 21 percent of students age 12 to 18 reported being bullied in 2015.
For students who are gay, lesbian and bisexual, the picture is worse. 34-percent of those who identified as LGBTQ said they were bullied, compared to 19 percent who identified as heterosexual.
Reports of sex assaults on college campuses are up from 2200 in 2001 to 6700 in 2014.
Researchers don't know if that's due to an increase in the number of actual sex crimes or whether victims now feel safer reporting them.
