Two FBI Director Candidates Hold “Impressive” Interviews
It’s possible the decision on a new FBI Director could come soon.
FOX’s Jon Decker has details from the White House:
A White House official telling FOX News that two candidates for FBI Director, former Homeland Security Advisor to President George W. Bush, Fran Townsend and former Assistant Attorney General Alice Fisher were “impressive” and strong in their interviews over the weekend.
There has never been a woman Director of the FBI.
FOX News has also learned that the idea of nominating Merrick Garland for FBI director is something that has also been discussed. Garland, a federal appellate court judge, who was nominated for the Supreme Court by President Obama, is strongly supported by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
