“Warm Love” for Van Morrison
Van Morrison is receiving a lifetime achievement award.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:
Singer-songwriter Van Morrison will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Americana Honors and Awards Show for songwriting September 13. The Grammy winning Irish singer-songwriter will also headline a concert the following night as a part of the Americana Festival.
Morrsion’s career sparked in the 60’s when he was lead singer of the band Them and they released the song ‘Gloria,’ but it was his solo stint that followed with hits like ‘Wild Night’ and ‘Moondance’ that struck a chord with music fans.
The Americana Music Association executive director said Morrison “created a catalog of music that has served as a soundtrack for our lives.”
