White House Spokeswoman Backs President Trump’s Claim about Comey
The White House says former FBI Director James Comey discussed the Russian investigation with the president prior to his firing.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more:
White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders is backing up the President’s claim that former FBI Director James Comey directly relayed information to the President about the FBI’s Russia investigation.
Sanders in an interview, said that the President told her that the then-FBI director assured him “on three separate occasions” that he was not under investigation.
The White House has so far declined to produce evidence of the three separate occasions the President referenced.
An in that Senate testimony, the acting FBI Director said it would be against bureau policy to inform anyone whether or not they are the subject of an ongoing investigation.
