President Trump: IRS Will No Longer Target Churches & Religious Organizations
President Trump signed an executive order on Thursday that has to deal with religious freedom.
FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:
With dozens of religious leaders watching in the Rose Garden, the President signed the order that weakens what’s known as the Johnson Amendment, forbidding churches and other religious organizations from engaging in political speech or campaign activities:
(President Trump) “This executive order directs the IRS not to unfairly target churches and religious organizations for political speech.”
The President’s executive order also will make it easier for employers with religious objections not to include contraception coverage in workers’ health care plans. Critics say the order guts women’s health care coverage.
