2017 Video Game Hall of Fame Class

The 2017 class of the World Video Game Hall of Fame is announced.

FOX’s Chris Foster tells you who is in:

Donkey Kong is in. It was a hit in arcades in 1981 with a character known as Jump Man, later Mario in other popular games, jumping over and smashing barrels and climbing ladders to rescue his girlfriend from a giant ape.

This year’s other Hall of Fame inductees are the shooter game ‘Halo: Combat Evolved,’ ‘Street Fighter II,’ and ‘Pokémon Red and Green,’ originally released for the Game Boy in 1996, evolving into other games, TV shows, and movies.

The Hall of Fame was established at the Strong Museum in Rochester, New York in 2015.
