Republicans Continue to Work on New Health Care Proposal

Congress has a new spending plan on the table, as work also continues, on a revised health care bill.

    FOX’s Jared Halpern reports:

House Republican leadership aides continue to say when a GOP health care bill has enough votes to pass, it’ll get a vote.

White House officials believe that could happen midweek, suggesting the measure needs just a handful of more votes.

A compromise released last week allowing states to opt out of some insurance requirements did bring on more conservative support, but threatened support of some moderate Republicans.

Any measure that clears the House, however is expected to face challenges and likely changes in the Republican-controlled Senate.
