Waitress Receives One Generous “Tip” from a Couple

A waitress at a loss for words after receiving a huge tip.

FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the story:

Cayla Chandara has been working double shifts at the Cheese Cake Factory and Noi Thai Cuisine in Waikiki, Hawaii.

While serving an Australian couple at the Thai restaurant, Cayla got to talking to them and opened up about struggling to go to college and being in debt.

After wrapping up dinner the couple paid their $200 bill. Cayla was shocked to see they left her a $400 tip!:

(Chandara) “I just thought it was so generous of them. I never get tipped that big and I had to say thank you.”

She sent flowers to their hotel. The next day the couple returned to the restaurant and offered to pay off Cayla’s student loans, over $10,000:

(Chandara) “I still don’t feel like it’s real. I want to run around in the streets.”

The anonymous couple told Cayla the best way to thank them is to be her “best possible self-dream big and strive for her goals.”
