Republicans Aren’t Giving Up on a New Health Care Plan
Congress is on a two week recess, but when lawmakers return, the debate over a Republican health care bill could be renewed.

A failed effort to pass a bill repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act last month could get another go:
(Ryan) “There are some other ideas we are still working on and talking about, trying to build consensus on.”
House Speaker Paul Ryan, the Vice President and other top Trump administration officials spent much of last week trying to revive talks between different groups within House Republican ranks. Some lawmakers were hopeful to reach agreement before this recess.
GOP leaders say there is no timeline.
The immediate focus for lawmakers when they return in two weeks will be a spending measure to avoid a government shutdown at the end of the month.
