The Big Apple is Home to the ‘World’s Best’ Restaurant

    An American restaurant named the ‘Best in the World’.

    FOX’s Lilian Woo reports:

    11 Madison Park in New York City taking top honors on the annual list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

    The first time in more than a decade an American restaurant’s landed the spot on the list based on a poll of international chefs, restaurant critics and others.

    Chef and co-owner Daniel Humm in a ‘FOX and Food’ interview saying he started cooking in 1990 in Switzerland:

    (Humm) “I fell in love because I wanted to work with my hands and perfect how to bake a bread or perfect how to braise a meat.”

    11 Madison Park bumping Osteria Francescana in Italy down to number two, 2015 winner Spanish restaurant El Celler de Can Roca came in third.

    Some U.S. restaurants which made the cut: Blue Hill at Stone Barnes, Le Bernardin, Saison and
    Cosme.
