Former Obama White House staffer Susan Rice is caught up in President Trump's surveillance claims.

Republicans are calling for answers amid reports that President Obama's former national security adviser unmasked Trump transition officials in intelligence documents that were disseminated throughout the intelligence community. Senator Lindsay Graham:

(Graham) "What was the reason and was there political motive? I'd like to know that."

Senator Rand Paul wants Rice to answer questions under oath:

(Paul) "I see no legitimate reason for her to be searching a database and unmasking people."

Democrats says the Rice story is a smokescreen meant to distract from the Russian election probe.
