Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) On Why He Personally Believes Political Operatives For President Obama Are Behind The Intelligence Leaks Damaging President Trump
“The rumors and the scuttlebutt are that Obama political people were routine leakers to the press of classified information if it could damage Trump. So do I believe it? I have no evidence but do I believe the Obama political operatives could have seen some of these intelligence reports coming back with Trumps name on them or his associates and then leaked them, absolutely I believe it.”

Senator Paul on the need for republicans to come together to successfully repeal and replace Obamacare
(RAND PAUL) We did have some disagreements about what was in the bill, some of it I think is the strategy of trying to put everything in a bill and trying to get everybody to agree to everything. Maybe we should start with a blank slate and start putting on the blank slate things that we agree on. I think there are 5 or 10 things that every republican agrees on, why don’t we make a bill, create a bill that has things that have universal agreement and then we quit attacking each other then we also put forward the stuff we disagree on in a replacement bill and if it passes good and if it doesn’t pass and democrats don’t vote for any of the replacement then the blame goes back to where it absolutely should be because to fix healthcare you are going to need a repeal and a separate replacement bill. The reason you need a separate replacement bill is some of these things just aren’t going to be allowed by the budget process.
Senator Paul on President Trump blaming the House Freedom Caucus for blocking Speaker Ryan’s Obamacare replacement bill
(RAND PAUL) I think they are honorable and principled men and I think they should be respected for trying to do what is best for the country above all political concerns.
