President Trump Isn’t Backing Away from Wiretapping Claims

A press conference between President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel overshadowed by the President’s persistent claim of wiretapping.

FOX’s Jon Decker reports from the White House:

President Trump not backing away from his claim that he was wiretapped by the Obama Administration during the Presidential campaign, suggesting that what U.S. intelligence agencies did to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who wiretapped her phone, was done to him as well:

(President Trump) “At least we have something in common perhaps.”

The President said he and Chancellor Merkel agreed that Germany would contribute more financially to NATO and resolved to work together to fight ISIS.

The two leaders agreed to work together on transatlantic trade. Germany has a $65 billion trade surplus with the U.S.
