Her Final Wish: Wife with Cancer Encourages Others to Marry Her Husband

A wife’s plea for her beloved husband’s next chapter lives on after her passing.

FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the details:

A Chicago author looses her battle with cancer days after writing a heartbreaking dating profile for her husband.

In a New York Times essay titled ‘You May Want To Marry My Husband‘, Amy Krouse Rosenthal revealed her battle with ovarian cancer, writing she may only have a few treasured moments to be with her family and making a plea to find her partner Jason, a new love.

Amy writes “I have been married to the most extraordinary man for 26 years,” calling him a “sharp dresser” a “traveler” “a music lover” and an “easy man to fall in love with”.

She ends the letter writing her hope is “the right person” will read her words, find Jason and “another love story” will begin. Her essay went viral, resonating with millions.

Rosenthal’s publisher confirmed her passing to the Chicago Sun Times Monday. She was 51-years-old.
