Top Auto Manufacturer Pleas Guilty to Multiple Felony Counts

A guilty plea for Volkswagen today in Detroit over the companies’ emissions cheating scandal.

    FOX’S Jeff Monosso has more:

Volkswagen pleads guilty to three felony counts as part of an over $4 billion settlement it reached with the Justice Department in January for cheating on hundreds of thousands of 2-and-3-liter diesels using so-called defeat devices to skirt emissions standards.

VW also agrees to sweeping reforms, new audits and independent oversight for three years. This on top of the $15 billion the company agreed to last year in buybacks, compensation, and other fines.
