Hey Bot-Tender!… Las Vegas Bar Testing Out Robots as Bartenders
Shaken or stirred, robotic bartenders can do it all, and you could have one make your next drink.
FOX’s Brett Larson reports:
You may soon be greeted by a bar tender that will give you the perfect pour and not require a tip.
A bar coming to the Las Vegas strip will have robot bar tenders that will take the human interaction of ordering out of the equation.
It’s being called the first in the world, but most of the details of the binary bar haven’t been hammered out.
The company behind the bar, Robotic Innovations will be taking over a spot in the miracle mile shops near a Planet Hollywood and will open by the end of June.
But the claim of it being the world’s first comes with a caveat, it’s the world’s first on land. If you get on board Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Sea’s you can belly up to the bionic bar and be served the precision poured cocktail from a robot.
And the Italian company, Makr Shakr has a robotic bar system, which is what’s in use on board the Harmony of the Sea’s.
The robots will beat humans on how many drinks they can make: 120 per hour with thousands of combinations possible.
