One Falcons’ Player Putting Super Bowl Loss on Lady Gaga

The Falcons tried to leave it all on the field in last month’s Super Bowl, but they couldn’t because they had to leave too much in the locker room, according to one of their players.

FOX’s Chris Hoenig reports:

It’s not Tom Brady’s fault the Falcons lost the Super Bowl, nor is it Atlanta’s coaching staff’s. No, according to Falcons wide receiver Mohammad Sanu, it’s all Lady Gaga’s fault…

Sanu telling the NFL Network that Gaga’s halftime performance, which aired on FOX, took away Atlanta’s momentum.

The average NFL halftime is about 15 minutes long. It’s twice that at the Super Bowl, allowing time to set up and break down the halftime show sets. Gaga’s performance lasting about 13 minutes on its own.

Four Falcons players had a combined five Super Bowl trips between them going into the game. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had six all by himself, and 21 of his teammates had experienced the extended halftime, as well.
