The Minnesota Vikings announcing they will not pick up the $18-million option on Adrian Peterson’s contract for the upcoming season, releasing the franchise’s all-time leading rusher after 10 years.

Peterson has suggested that the Giants, Buccaneers and Texans may be attractive teams, but also said after the season:

(Peterson) “I would love to finish my career here with the Minnesota Vikings. That’s where my mind is.”
