Former President Bush Weighs in on President Trump’s Attack on the Media & Contact with Russia

A former Republican president is weighing in on alleged contact between President Trump’s team and the Russian government.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

No. 43 has questions about No. 45. President George W. Bush says “we all need answers” on the extent of reported contact between members of President Trump’s inner circle and Russian intelligence officials, telling the NBC “Today Show”:

(Bush) “Whether or not the special prosecutor is the right way to go or not, you’re talking to the wrong guy.”

President Bush also stuck up for the media, saying the press should hold leaders accountable:

(Bush) “Power can be very addictive and it can be corrosive.”

Over the weekend, top Republican Congressman Darrell Issa told HBO’s Bill Maher there should be an independent investigation into alleged Russian interference in the presidential election.
