The Trump administration is out with new immigration enforcement guidelines.
FOX's Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:
The Trump administration will not just go after criminal illegal immigrants under policies being outlined today, but all those in violation of immigration laws.
The guidance out from the Homeland Security Department does make it make it clear that those convicted of crimes will be at the top of the list. And those protected under DACA, children brought here by their parents, will remain protected.
Also in the new guidelines: state and local law enforcement officials will be authorized to perform the functions of an immigration officer and money will be allocated to build the southern border wall.
