Testosterone Treatment Won’t Cure Everything
There are mixed reviews for testosterone treatment in older men.
FOX’s Chris Foster reports:
The makers of testosterone supplements claim they do a lot to turn back the clock. A big study paid for by the National Institute on Aging finds though, testosterone treatment does nothing to improve mental function or memory.
There’s evidence it may strengthen bones and reduce anemia. But it may also make artery disease worse.
The Food and Drug Administration has asked supplement makers to conduct the additional research called for in this study of men 65 and older with low testosterone.
