Soldier Deployed Overseas for 6 Months Surprises Son at School

A touching reunion for a deployed military father and his son.

FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the details:

A day one child will never forget. A deployed military father returns home to surprise his son at a school assembly.

Colorado National Guard Army Master Sgt. Rex Beach came back to Westminster after being overseas for six months. His son, Bryce, thought he was being honored at his elementary school for the ‘Jump Rope for Heart’ program. But the school was in on the surprise.

A teacher had the third grader showing off his jump rope medal, while his dad snuck up behind him:

(Teacher) “Is it cool? I bet it’s not as cool as this… Turn around.”

Bryce throws his arms around his father. The touching moment was caught on camera. And shared on YouTube.
