Joy Villa’s Album Sales Soar to No. 1 on iTunes & Amazon Following Pro-President Trump Grammys Dress

This weekend at the Grammy Awards, one singer stood out, and not for her voice.

FOX’s Carley Shimkus has details:

That’s singer Joy Villa, who became the talk of the Grammys for hitting the red carpet in a red white and blue “Make America Great Again” dress. The bold political statement paying off. The little known singer’s album sales skyrocketing to No. 1 on iTunes and Amazon.

Villa revealed on’FOX & Friends’ that she wanted the dress to be a symbol of love and unity:

(Villa) “Democracy is about different viewpoints and that’s totally okay. But when it starts to become a bullying platform, that ‘I’m not going to be your friend’ or ‘you can’t be a good person because of who you voted for’, it’s wrong.”

Villa acknowledged the backlash but says she is overwhelmed by love and support.
