Former Ozzy Guitarist Zakk Wylde Paying Tribute to Black Sabbath & Jimi Hendrix
Ozzy’s former-guitarist Zakk Wylde has a new headlining tour and pays tribute to a Rock and Roll great this month.
FOX’s Laura Ingle brings you inside the music with today’s “Bonus Track”:
Black Sabbath is a favorite band of many musicians, especially for those who have played with Ozzy Osburne and company over the years, which is why is makes perfect Rock and Roll sense for former Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde to be involved in a Black Sabbath cover band with a pretty clever name: Zakk Sabbath.
Zakk Wylde’s all-star outfit will also include bassist Rob “Blasko” Nicholson, who has also shared the stage with Ozzy and drummer Joey Castillo. The group who have toured in the past, just announced they are kicking off their first headlining tour May 18 in New York.
In addition to playing Black Sabbath covers, Wylde will also be paying tribute to another Rock and Roll great later this month: Jimi Hendrix, as part of the “Experience Hendrix Tour”, which will also include other guitar greats such as Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Buddy Guy.
