Michael Ray’s “Think A Little Less” Continues to Climb Up Country Charts

Country singer Michael Ray achieved many milestones over the past year.

FOX’s Ashley Dvorkin chats with him in this “FOX Celebrity Profile”:

I’m Ashley Dvorkin with your FOX Celebrity Profile.

Country singer Michael Ray has had several milestone moments since releasing his self-titled debut album in 2015. He’s had a No. 1 single with “Kiss You in the Morning”. His current single “Think A Little Less” is climbing the charts and he’s on the second leg of his headlining tour:

(Ray) “You know you’re out opening for someone and all of a sudden there’s a little bit more people earlier than there was on the next show. And they’re singing ‘Kiss You In The Morning’ back. That was my first experience at that on that level. And so just hearing a place, you know, so far away from your hometown. You know what I mean, maybe a place you’ve never even been to and just people are connecting with the music and singing the songs back to you. There’s nothing more flattering.”

Ray says Darius Rucker taught him an important lesson about how to treat opening acts on the road:

(Ray) “Darius made us feel like it was our tour. You feel ownership almost and it really does make you feel prideful.”
