Merriam Webster Dictionary Adds New Online Words

    The American lexicon expands.

    FOX’s Lilian Woo reports:

A thousand new words and definitions officially added to the Merriam Webster dictionary website. Some of them having to do with apps and other technology like photobomb, bingewatch and ghost, meaning to abruptly cut off contact with someone; ignoring or blocking their calls and messages.

There are foreign food words like Arancini. Also making the cut: Conlang, short for constructed language like…

Star Trek fans will recognize that as Klingon. Also microaggression, unlikely from Klingons who are openly aggressive and Seussian, having a playful or outlandish quality, much like Doctor Seuss’s works.
