President Trump Travel Ban Order Likely Headed to Supreme Court

The Trump administration is hoping an appeals court reinstates the President’s travel ban.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Two states: Washington and Minnesota, told a federal appeals court in San Francisco that reinstating the travel ban could, “unleash chaos again”. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer told FOX News the President’s ban is constitutional:

(Spicer) “It’s somewhat sad to see a judge go rouge like this.”

The President has been blasting Judge James Robart, who presides in Seattle, on Twitter, calling him a “so-called judge”. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer says an independent judiciary is absolutely necessary:

(Schumer) ”To ensure Presidents and Congresses do not break the law or impinge on the Constitution.”

The argument over the travel ban is expected to end up at the U.S. Supreme Court.
