A actor and singer made famous on "The Partridge Family" is retiring.

FOX's Jacquelyn Karl reports:

David Cassidy getting ready to call it quits he'll play his last West Coast shows this month, then retire at the end of the year.

The singer revealing traveling and his arthritis', making it difficult for him to get around.

Cassidy's now  66, rising to fame as a teen heartthrob on the TV series "The Partridge Family". But it's not totally over for Cassidy while he intends to cut down on performing, he adds this "is not a complete `good bye."'
