Tom Price & Steve Mnuchin Get Unanimous Votes by Rep. Senate Panel

Despite a boycott from Democrats, Republicans on a key Senate panel have approved a pair of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more from Capitol Hill:

For a second straight day, Democrats refused to show up at the Senate Finance Committee, denying Republicans a quorum to vote on HHS Secretary nominee Tom Price and Treasury Secretary nominee Steve Mnuchin. So, Republican chairman Orrin Hatch suspended a rule, requiring at least one Democrat be present:

(Orrin) “At every turn my colleagues arguments change, but their answer is always the same. Delay.”

Democrats argue they have unanswered questions about the nominees financial ties.

But without any Democrats present, both Price and Mnuchin won unanimous votes in the Finance Committee, paving the way for full Senate confirmation.
