Democrats & Republicans React to President Trump’s National Security Council Order

Democrats and Republicans are reacting to President Trump’s executive order shaking up the National Security Council.

FOX’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington:

Senior defense officials tell FOX News the Joint Chiefs of Staff were caught unaware by the order removing the Chairman from the a permanent position on the council’s principals committee. But they say they’re also confident that Defense Secretary James Mattis will push for General Joe Dunford’s voice to be heard during National Security Council discussions.

The executive order, signed over the weekend, also removes the Director of National Intelligence from a permanent seat and gives a regular seat to White House senior adviser Steve Bannon.
