Patriots & Falcons Jersey Colors for Super Bowl 51

We know which color jerseys the respective Super Bowl teams will be wearing.

It’s Pro Bowl weekend in the NFL, aka, bye weekend for teams in Super Bowl 51. Just because they don’t play this weekend doesn’t mean the Patriots and Falcons aren’t hard at work preparing for next weekend’s championship bout:

(Belichick) “Getting ready for Atlanta. I know it’s a team that we’re really not very familiar with. So we’ve had to do a lot of digging to get caught up here. Fortunately we have a little bit of extra time to do that. I think we’ll need it, I know we’ll need it.”

New England coach Bill Belichick.

The Falcons have chosen to wear their red jerseys in the “Big Game”, which might come back to bite them. 11 of the last 12 Super Bowls were won by teams wearing white and New England is (2-1) in Super Bowls wearing their white jerseys.

The last time the team with the best record in the regular season won the Super Bowl was 2003. The Patriots were tops in the NFL this season at (14-2), though it is worth noting that that 2003 team was a (14-2) Patriots squad.
