Tostitos is Providing a “Party-Safe” Bag for Super Bowl 51
If drinking a few on Super Bowl Sunday is your bag, Tostitos has something for you to “chew on.”
FOX’s Tom Rigatti explains:
Snack-maker Frito-Lay is calling it the “party-safe” bag. Here’s how it works:
There’s an alcohol sensor on the bag which, the company says, when breathed into, will turn red if alcohol is detected, with a “don’t drink and drive” message.
Now it’s not a breathalyzer and can’t measure actual blood alcohol content.
But the bag does include a $10 Uber code that can be redeemed on the night of the “Big Game”. You can even tap your smart phone on the bag to call for a ride.
A Frito-Lay spokeswoman says their goal is to remove 25,000 potentially impaired drivers from the roads Super Bowl Sunday night.
