‘Star Wars’ Releases Name of ‘Episode VIII’
The next installment of ‘Stars Wars’ has a name.
FOX’s Michelle Pollino reports:
Star Wars eight has an official title, the followup to the highly successful ‘Force Awakens’ will be called ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi‘.
Of course the news sent social media into a galactic tizzy over who this ‘Last Jedi’ might be and as every true Star Wars fan would note, the 7th installment was all about Daisy Ridley’s character Rey and discovering her powers of the force. And in the last shot of the film, Rey comes face to face with Luke Skywalker, who of course was our Jedi hero in the original 1977 film.
Writer-director Rian Johnson has previously said ‘Episode VIII’ will start right where ‘The Force Awakens’ left off.
