President-elect Trump’s Plan for Journalists in the White House
Reports of a proposal by the Trump administration to eject reporters from their home in the West Wing has many reporters nervous about what the future may hold.
FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:
Reince Priebus, President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming Chief of Staff said that only the location of the press briefing room was being discussed and that the administration was merely considering a larger area to accommodate the hundreds of journalists seeking to cover Mr. Trump.
It’s still not clear whether the administration’s idea to relocate the White House press corps might extend to evicting reporters from their office space.
Journalists have been granted space in the White House since the William McKinley administration.
Mr. Trump’s team has pledged to retain reporters’ access to the president’s motorcade and his flights on Air Force One.
