House Approves Resolution Seen as First Step Toward Repeal of ObamaCare

The House took a key step in repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act.

FOX’s Jared Halpern has more on Capitol Hill:

To hear it from House Speaker Paul Ryan, Republicans are on a rescue mission:

(Ryan) “We are stepping in and stopping the collapse from doing more harm to the working families of America.”

A near party-line vote on a GOP budget resolution sets up a process to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi doubts the Republican replacement effort:

(Pelosi) “They’re gonna repeal and replace, interesting alliteratively, but not realistic.”

Republican leaders say scrapping the health care law will begin early in the new administration, vowing a smooth transition from repeal to replace.
