Keeping it in the Family: President-elect Trump Tabs Son-in-Law Kushner as Senior Advisor

The President names his son-in-law to a top job in the White House.

FOX’s Jon Decker has more from the White House:

Although it’s been expected for weeks, Trump transition officials confirm that Jared Kushner, President-elect Donald Trump’s son-in-law, will be named senior advisor to the President.

Questions have arisen about whether having a son-in-law in the West Wing violates federal anti-nepotism laws. Legal advisors to Mr. Trump have assured him that no laws will be broken with the appointment, which does not require Senate confirmation.

Kushner, a New York real estate developer, has been one of the most influential voices in Mr. Trump’s inner circle and is credited with helping steer the presidential campaign to victory.
