Record Year for Online Sales

    A record year for buying online.

    FOX’s Rich Denison reports:

    Americans continue buying more items online. Adobe reports internet sales over the holiday season rose to just under $92 billion. That’s an 11 percent increase from the previous year. On 57 of the 61 days between November 1 and New Year’s Eve, web-based sales exceeded $1 billion.

    Online purchases of smartphones and tablets were up 23 percent last year, Comscore reports the heaviest spending day was cyber-Monday. The Monday after Thanksgiving saw more than $2 billion in online sales.
