Chill Out or Maybe Not: It’s Getting Warmer in the Arctic
Scientists working for the federal government are saying climate change is happening to the extreme in the Arctic.
FOX’s Jill Nado has that story from Washington:
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration sounding the alarm with its 2016 Arctic report card, saying warming in the Arctic is happening twice as fast as the rest of the world. NOAA putting a video out with that report card:
(NOAA) “Annual average surface air temperature over land was 6.3°F warmer than at the start of the 20th century.”
The report put together by 61 scientists working for NOAA in 11 different countries across the world, saying that glaciers are shrinking and that snow cover fell to its lowest level in the Arctic since they started observing it by satellite back in 1967.
But climate change skeptics like President-elect Trump say nobody knows if global warming is real.
